One of our lovely members shared the following pictures of her lovely work, which will all be going to the For Kids Organization in a few days. I'm in LOVE with the rose-colored one. Great job girl! You are inspiring me to take a stab at knitting.

My latest hat and scarf combo
This is my latest patten. This one is for a 1 - 4 year old. I made it using Michael's Loops and Threads, which was on sale last week. Only 2.99 per skein. Normally, they are $4.99 a skein. I went ahead and bought a grey, deep purple and a lavender skein. My next set will be in this pattern in either the purple or lavender and for an older little girl. Can't wait to see how that turns out.
September was GOOD!
We really outdid ourselves this month! You ladies came in with full force. Let's get straight to the numbers because they speak for themselves...
5 Scarves
7 Hats
3 Afghans
SEPTEMBER TOTAL: 15 more pieces
OUR GRAND TOTAL: 62 pieces of cold weather items. Here's our current breakdown:
1 Sweater
19 Hats
13 Afghans
28 Scarves
1 Earmuffs
It was very pleasurable for me to crochet with the cooler weather. There was even a day or two so far this month that I had to put hats on my children before going outside. I remember thinking, "Imagine if I didn't have a hat to put on my kiddos right now..." Unfortunately, there are mothers in Hampton Roads in that situation. I thank the Lord for each one of you. That has really driven me to buy tons of yarn (on sale :) this month and try my hardest to crochet some more items.
It's our last month to make a few more items; lets keep those hooks and needles going!
